Time and Its Meaning
Reflective Conversation Series

Four Mondays, May 2, 9, 16, 30, 2005
5:45 to 6:45 pm
Church of the Redeemer, Downtown Toronto

Hello to Friends of the Centre for Spirituality at Work.

As you may know, among many things in my life, one role is as a doctoral student in theology. My focus is on how a downtown church can be a resource for the spiritual needs of people who work in the neighbourhood. The ministry setting for this is Church of the Redeemer, an historic, open and inclusive Anglican church at Bloor & Avenue Rd. in Toronto where I'm a parishioner. This ministry is welcoming for people of any or no faith tradition. It includes a drop-in meditation group led by Joseph Bergeron that meets in the chapel every Thursday 12:15 to 1:00 pm, and occasionally facilitating a 4-week reflective conversation series.

Please join a small group of us for Time and its Meaning. We will have four facilitated after-work reflective conversations based on guidelines developed by the Rev. Whitney Roberson for her Spirituality at Work ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of California. It is amazing how her approach can lead us to real depth and meaning in a short time. We will reflect on a different question each week: What makes time truly productive? Can we do anything about how busy we are? Is ours the only way to look at time? and When is Spirit at work in our time?

Depending on numbers, we will have one or two groups. If two, Kathleen Conway has generously offered to facilitate the second group. Kathleen is President of Camden Communications (www.CamdenCommunications) and the leader of the Introduction to Constructive Communications offered through the Centre for Spirituality at Work, pass this on to others you think may be interested.

Four Mondays, May 2, 9, 16, 30, 5:45 to 6:45 pm, Church of the Redeemer, 162 Bloor St.W., Avenue Rd. entrance.

If you can join us for the four conversations, or for at least three, please pre-register by Friday April 29: Sherry@SpiritualityAtWork.org , giving your name, e-mail address, and phone number. There is no fee for this series.

All the best,
Sherry
